קאש הוא מבין המובילים באדריכלות הדיגיטלית. הוא היה בין הראשונים שבחנו את ההשפעה של המדיה החדשה על מתודות תכנון אדריכלויות וניסח תפישה חדשה לצורניות אדריכלית מעמדה פילוסופית.

הפילוסוף הצרפתי ז`יל דלז כתב על קאש בספרו "הקפל":

This new object we can call objectile. As Bernard Cache has demonstrated this is a very modern conception of the technological object: t refers neither to the beginnings of the industrial era nor to the idea of the standard that still upheld a semblance of essence and impose a new law of consistency (`the object produced by and for the messes`), but to our current states of things, where fluctuation of the norm replaces the permanence of the law; where the object assumes a place in a continuum by vibration; where industrial automation or serial achineries replace stamped forms.
