Dr. Efrat Hildesheim is a landscape architect and theorist, a senior lecturer - assistant professor at the David Azrieli School of Architecture at Tel Aviv University. Hildesheim holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University (2019), where she also earned her master's degree in arts and environment. She specialized in Israeli landscape architecture as a research fellow at the Azrieli Architectural Archive, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and in landscape and roads as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, Technion (2019-2020; 2021-2022). Hildesheim's interdisciplinary research draws on conceptualization and ontological inquiry utilizing critical cultural theories. Hildesheim's areas of expertise encompass landscape theory, landscape architecture, art, and garden theories. Her research generates fresh perspectives on landscape and Israeli landscape architecture, gardens, and the landscape of highways and borders

2021-2022       Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The program of landscape architecture at the Technion – IIT, Haifa, Israel. The research was carried out as a part of Alon-Mozes' research supported by the Israel Science Foundation - ISF. Postdoctoral Research titled "Roads and highways as late modernism: cultural social and political facets of Israeli landscape architecture 1970-2000".

2019-2020       Post-Doctoral research fellowship funded by The Shlomo Glass & Phany Balaban-Glass Foundation grant, at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, Technion – IIT. The postdoctoral research titled "Practices of Speed, Movement, and Gaze as Landscape Mechanisms: Critical Aspects of Roads and Highways as Landscape Performances in 1970-2000 in Israel".

2018    Research fellow at the Azrieli Architectural Archive, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel. The research titled "Interpellation of absence: Four modes of lack and absence in the landscapes of Yahalom and Zur".
