A Special Performance of the Acclaimed Production of Samuel Beckett’s
Krapp’s Last Tape
Starring Doron Tavori, directed by Rina Yerushalmi
June 8, 2015, 8:00 PM
ITIM Theatre, 2 Nachmani Street, Tel Aviv
This single, free performance brings together Israel’s leading dramatic actor, leading
theatre director, and the foremost playwright of the 20th century, in one of his greatest
.plays
Samuel Beckett has long had a special place in the hearts of Israelis because, while he
presents unflinching explorations of the human condition in stark, even bleak, physical
and emotional situations, he also offers humor and laughter to help face suffering and still
go on. Doron Tavori’s greatness lies in his ability to convey both the tragedy of life and
its humor, in his multi-levelled portrayal of Krapp, directed with great subtlety and
.sensitivity by Rina Yerushalmi
Following the performance there will be a Talk Back with Doron Tavori, Rina
Yerushalmi, Ambassador Eamonn McKee and Professor Linda Ben-Zvi
