A Film Scholarship without Films? Reimagining the History of Israeli Cinema Culture through the Archive July 5–6, 2022
The International Association for Media and History (IAMHIST) & The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television, Tel Aviv University, are pleased to announce a 2-day symposium focusing on the study of Israeli film culture through archival materials that are not films themselves. The event features presentations from scholars and archivists of Israeli film culture, as well as methodological workshops on cinema historiography and digital humanities. Also present is filmmaker Amos Gitai, who will give an artist talk about the stakes of personal archiving.
