Education

Yoram Boker was born in Paris

He was educated at the University of "Theatre des Nations", and studied mime under the direction of the master Marcel Marceau and with Jacque Lecoq, who took him into his company.

Academic position

In 1956 he settles in Israel and started his artistic activities, while also teaching at Tel Aviv University where he continues until today as Professor.

Yoram Boker has participated in many films (Battle shock, stories of Tel-Aviv, etc...),
A Television shows (The Eurovision song contest 1979, Firenze Mondovision, Israel TV etc),
concerts with the philharmonic and other orchestras (Lernstuck, Histoire du soldat etc),
Theatre Plays (Fiddler on the roof, Red shoes etc).
He has choreographed for the major Israeli theatres (Peer Gynt, Faust, Medea, Merry wives), and directed (Don Perlimplin, little dream, The Green bird, the mute wife, Vachti revenge...).
In 1970 he funded the "Boker Mime theatre" for which he writes, directs and performs 10 originals shows (Carousel, 1,2,3, Cards, Men and Masks, My fair county, World of mime, Golden Fleece, Rump in the Dump, Playing pantomime).
His original shows have proven succesful in israel as well as abroad on several international festivals and tours (Edinburg, Strasburg, Avignon, Caracas, Arezzo, Teipei, Berlin, Tokio, Memphis, Paris, Schleswig-Holstein...)
In Addition, Yoram was the artistic director of the Israeli Mime Festival and the three last years of the Tel-Aviv University Theatre.
