תחומי מחקר

Raz Yosef is Senior Lecturer in The Film and Television Department at Tel Aviv University, Israel.

He was a visiting professor at NYU and at the University of Michigan. He is the author of Beyond Flesh: Queer Masculinities and Nationalism in Israeli Cinema (Rutgers, 2004). His work on gender, sexuality and ethnicity in Israeli visual culture has appeared in GLQ, Third Text, Shofar, Framework and Camera Obscura. His areas of research are: film theory, queer theory, feminist film theory, postcolonial theory and third world cinemas, Israeli cinema and national culture, film melodrama, trauma studies.
